About Preventing Texting While Driving

OtoZen can optionally prevent texting and driving.

If you are registered with the Pod as a Driver, OtoZen allows or blocks texting based on your driving speeds. If you try to operate the phone while driving, and if the speed is safe enough to operate (i.e. at a drive-through or a parking lot gate), you are not blocked from texting. But if speeds are unsafe, OtoZen prevents texting. You cannot type or text in any of the applications.

In case of an emergency, you can use a voice assistant such as Siri or Google Assistant to send texts, or you can stop the car on the side of the road and use the phone for typing or texting

If I need to text while driving in case of an emergency, what do I do?

In case of an emergency, use voice assistants, Siri or Google Assistant, to send text and to have texts read aloud.

When the car stops moving, texting is automatically enabled.
