About Emergency Assist

OtoZen's Emergency Assist provides you with emergency help fast and subscription-free. With a press of the SOS button on the Pod, you can optionally let OtoZen: 

• Immediately alert your loved ones with valuable live location and vehicle information
• Dial 911 on your behalf and connect you to the closest first responders

The OtoZen app sends an SMS to your selected emergency contacts.

The weblink contains your current location, vehicle details (if configured), and the time the SOS was initiated. Your current location keeps updating your emergency contact for the next 12 hours or until the emergency assistant is canceled by you in the OtoZen app.

Emergency Service Dial status is also updated to weblink.

How many emergency contacts can I add for Emergency Assist?

You can add up to 5 emergency contacts.

In case of emergency, how long will my emergency contacts get my live location?

Your emergency contacts can see your live location for 12 hours after the SOS launch or until you cancel the ongoing emergency assist from the OtoZen app.

What if my phone is damaged in an emergency?

If your phone is damaged in an emergency, OtoZen may not be able to send the live location to your emergency contacts or dial 911 emergency services.

What if my phone battery drains after Emergency Assist is activated?

If your phone battery drains after the Emergency Assist is activated, OtoZen will not be able to send the live location to your emergency contacts.
However, the emergency contact would see the last sent location before the phone powered off.

What if I accidentally triggered an emergency assist?

You can cancel an Emergency Assist request by pressing any of the OtoZen Pod buttons.

What information do my Emergency contacts get?

OtoZen provides your Emergency contacts with timely information giving them the chance to provide the help you need. The SMS link sent to them provides the time and location of your emergency request and vehicle information (if configured). It also lets them know if you have contacted 911 emergency services. Additionally, OtoZen streams your live location even when away from the car and presents them with directions to reach you.
