Set up Driver Mode

All Driver accounts are linked to a Pod.

Driver mode can be set up with a new OtoZen account or an existing Otozen account. If you have an existing OtoZen account, please check Setup Driver Mode with an existing OtoZen Account.

Set up Driver Mode and a New OtoZen Account

After creating a new account and selecting Driver Mode, the OtoZen app walks you through the steps to set up Driver mode functions.

1. To create an account, please check here.

2. Tap Let's Go to Get Started

   

3. Tap Driver 

   

4. Tap Setup Pod Now 

   

5. Tap Allow

   

6. Tap OK

   

7. Tap Allow 

   

8. Tap Allow While Using App

   For iPhones with OS 13.0 and below

   
   

   For iPhones with OS 14.0 and above

   

9. This step needs a Pod with you. Press and hold the two Voice Assistant buttons and release when the blue light on the Pod starts blinking rapidly.

   

10. Tap Pair

    

11. Tap Allow

    

12. Tap Next

    

13. Enter the name of the car you will have the Pod installed in and Tap Save.

    
    

    Pod setup is complete.

Continue with Setup Guide

1. Tap Continue to Set up a Favorite Places. To skip it tap Skip for now

   

2. Choose your Home address and Tap Save

   

3. Tap Continue with setup

   

4. Tap Next up: Location Reminder Alert 

   

5. Tap Enter Your Reminder Text to Set up a Location Reminder Alert. To skip it tap Skip for now

   

6. Enter the Reminder message and Tap Save

   

7. Tap  Continue with setup

   

8. Tap  Next up: Audio Alerts for Calendar

   

9. Tap  Allow OtoZen to Access Your Calendar to Set up a Calendar Reminder Alert. To skip it tap Skip for now

   

10. Tap  OK 

    

11. Tap Continue with setup

    

12. Tap  Next up: Audio Alert for Speed

    

13. Tap  Set High-Speed Limit to Set up High-Speed Alerts. To skip it tap Skip for now

    

14. Tap  Continue with setup

    

15. Tap Next up: Distraction Eliminators

    

16. Tap Set up Distraction Eliminators. To skip it tap Skip for now

    

17. Tap Mute Notifications to Mute Your Phone's Notifications

    

18. Tap Prevent Texting to enable Prevent Texting While Driving

    

19. Tap Prevent Screen Lock to enable Prevent Screen Lock While Driving

    

20. Tap Continue with setup

    

21. Tap Next up: Emergency Assist for the next Setup

    

22. Tap Set up Emergency Assist. To skip it tap Skip for now

    

23. Enable 911 Auto-Dial, follow the below steps.

    1. iPhone

       Tap Allow to enable 911 Auto-Dial

       

    2. Android

       • Tap Allow to enable Launch 911 Dialer

         

       • Tap Yes to enable Tell a Contact That You Dialed 911

         

24. Tap Add an Emergency Contact

    

25. Choose any one option to add Emergency Contact

    
    

    • From Contacts

      1. Tap OK to allow Contact permission

         

      2. Select your Emergency contact and tap Save

         

    • Enter Name and Phone Number

      1. Enter Name and Phone Number and tap Save

         

26. Tap Continue with setup

    

27. Tap Next up: OtoZen Siri Shortcuts. These steps are only for iOS.

    

28. Tap Set up Siri Shortcuts. To skip it tap Skip for now.

    

     

29. Tap Done to add Who is on a trip? Siri Shortcut

    

30. Tap Done to add Join Next Meeting Siri Shortcut

    

31. Tap Done to add Switch driver Siri Shortcut

    

32. Tap Done to add What's on my calendar? Siri Shortcut

    

33. Tap Continue with setup

    

34. Tap Next up: Alexa with OtoZen 

    

35. Tap Login to Amazon Account to Set up Alexa with OtoZen. To skip it tap Skip for now

    

36. Tap Log in

    

37. Tap Continue to log in with Amazon

    

38. Enter Amazon account information and tap Sign-In.

    
    

    Note: If you are already logged into the Amazon App on your phone, you will not be prompted with the above step.

39. Tap CONTINUE

    
    

    Note:

    • The OtoZen Pod is in no way related to Amazon and is not tested by Amazon

    • The order of steps 38 and 39 may be different on your phone.

40. Tap Allow

    

41. Tap Continue with setup

    

42. Tap Next up: Add Buddy

    

43. Tap Add a Buddy to Set up your first Buddy. To skip it tap Skip for now

    

44. Choose any one option to add your first Buddy

    
    

    • From Contacts

      

    • Enter Name and Phone Number

      

45. Tap Share if you want to share your location with your Buddy

    

46. Tap Continue with setup

    

47. Tap Continue with setup

    

48. Tap Continue with setup

    

49. Tap Go To Settings

    

50. Tap Location

    

51. Select Always

            

52. Tap OK.

    

53. Your Driver Setup is completed.

         

Setup Driver Mode with an existing OtoZen Account

1. Tap Profile and then Driver Setup
   

   

2. Tap Setup as Driver

   

3. This step needs a Pod with you. Press and hold the two Voice Assistant buttons and release when the blue light on the Pod starts blinking rapidly.

   

4. Tap Pair

   

5. Tap Allow

   

6. Tap Next

   

7. Enter Car name and Tap Save

   

8. Tap Go to Settings

   

9. Tap Go to Settings

   

10. Tap Location

    

11. Select Always

            

12. The driver setup is complete. You can see the registered Pod and the Driver mode you are in.
